Carefully set up in our Chicago workshop for maximum resonance and quick, even response, the Sinfonia cello is an exceptional performer in its price range. It is well balanced tonally and features a warm rich sound throughout the entire register, making it an outstanding performer in its price range. The outfit includes a high quality padded bag and a performance grade brazilwood bow.

Kreisler Cello Outfit

Beautifully flamed maple and well-seasoned spruce, combined with an artistically shaded varnish. The Kreisler cello offers up a wonderful palette of tonal colors, making it a great choice for a rapidly advancing student. Our luthiers carefully adjust the instrument for an even, easy response and great resonance in all registers. Outfit includes a padded bag and carbon fiber bow.

Reiner Cello

Beautifully finished with a warm, shaded varnish, the Reiner cello is equally at home in solo or ensemble situations. A deep, rich tone on the lower strings is combined with a warm and powerful upper register, making it a fine choice for anyone looking for a solid performing instrument at a very reasonable price.

Francesco Giovanni Cello

The Francesco Giovanni cello is a very responsive instrument that is well balanced tonally, has excellent projection, and features a warm, open sound that is rich in overtones. Careful attention to every detail, including the shaping of the neck and fingerboard, assures that every Giovanni cello plays easily and responsively.

The Giovanni is crafted using well seasoned tonewoods, including a top of straight-grained spruce, and back and ribs of very nicely flamed maple. It is hand-varnished in our Chicago workshop with a rich, shaded, dark brown varnish that brings out the beauty of the wood.

Like all instruments from W. H. Lee Educational Strings, the Francesco Giovanni Cello is expertly set up by luthiers in our Chicago workshop. It is an ideal choice for anyone needing a moderately priced cello with the power and tonal flexibility to function as either a solo or orchestral instrument.

C. Jean Pique Cello

Countless hours of meticulous work by our Chicago Luthiers, including careful fitting of the bass bar and expert graduations, give to the Pique outstanding tonal characteristics, including a warm, rich, sonorous tone with great projection. The varnish highlights the magnificent flaming of the back and ribs, and is beautifully shaded with light antiquing, giving a timeless quality to the finish. The C. Jean Pique is an outstanding cello that has many of the performance characteristics of our workshop instruments at a fraction of the price. An outstanding value!

Michael Puzak Cello

Carefully graduated by the luthiers in our Chicago workshop for optimal resonance and response, and then meticulously hand varnished with a lustrous antiqued finish, the Michael Puzak will is sure to satisfy the most discriminating player. Our strict attention to detail in the working of the neck and fingerboard, along with our expert set-up, makes the Puzak exceedingly responsive and even. Our careful graduating of the top, and fitting of the bass bar, gives it a tonal richness and power that is characteristic of much more expensive instruments.
